Our bibs are vinyl heat transfer printed.

The number/text is cut into the vinyl, the unwanted pieces are then weeded out to leave the required design on the vinyl backing. This is then heat pressed onto the garment. For single colour print, vinyl of that colour is used (CAD cut transfer printing), if the print is multi coloured it is first digitally printed onto a base vinyl (Digital transfer printing) and then cut, weeded and pressed as above.

Pros

  • No set up costs so ideal for individual names and numbers and smaller jobs
  • Perfect for teamwear printing ie. Numbers and Names

Cons

  • Not the most suitable for large quantities of identical print
  • Not suitable for oversized prints as result can be ‘bulky’
  • Not suitable for intricate / detailed / small print

The quality of the finished result is largely dependent on the quality of the original artwork supplied which is why we require you to always supply us with print ready files, such as vector based artwork (.eps,.ai, .cdr files)

We will let you know if the artwork you send is suitable or not.

With Digital transfer printing and CAD cut vinyl printing it’s not always possible to match colours in your artwork exactly, therefore we can’t guarantee an exact match and are unable to offer a refund if the printed garment colours do not match the artwork.

Modern vinyls are pretty tough and durable, they bond firmly to the garment and with a little care will last well.

(We recommend that garments are washed (cool wash) & ironed inside out, are not tumble dried and are not dried over radiators).

What determines the order / print cost?

  • Amount / area of print – the more print the more material used
  • Whether one colour or multi coloured
  • Number of presses – generally print to either front or back would be one press, to front and back two presses, but sometimes we have been asked for print that required four presses. Each press adds to the labour charge
  • Complexity / size of design – the more intricate your design the more time spent “weeding” out the unwanted pieces (see above) to make ready for heat pressing, increasing the labour charge. In some cases it may not be economical or practical to do this.

 Your satisfaction

We are a small family run business with specific resources and processes. We don’t offer a complete range of printing services (e.g. screen printing, DTG printing) as some other companies but prefer to focus on doing what we do well. If your requirements fall outside are capabilities or could be better met elsewhere we will always tell you – we would love your business but your satisfaction is more important.
